Overview

The Ideal Junior Eurovision 2024 is the sixth contest of the franchise of the Ideal Eurovision Song Contest, the third Children's Contest. 17 countries, respectively, and 17 heads of delegation participated in the contest. The show consists only of the finale, which will take place on November 1.

This season of the contest was the fifth in its history, which was held on the platform of the Telegram channel "Eurovision Live". The broadcast will also be carried out on the official YouTube page of the contest, where all content related to the "Ideal Eurovision" contest is published to this day.

History

After the successful holding of the "Ideal Junior Eurovision 2023" contest a year ago, the team decided to extend the contest for a sixth season, which adapts the original version of the "Junior Eurovision 2024" in Madrid, with an identical plot: the number of countries, many participants, the country and city of the event, the theme, logo and design - all this remained unchanged.

For the first time, the "Ideal Junior Eurovision 2024" was announced on June 30, 2024, and the first poll was conducted to select a German representative at the contest. On July 31, it was announced that applications would be accepted around the clock on September 1, 2024. There was a huge influx of applications, and the UEBU team had to select only 17 future heads of delegation. On September 2, a list of 17 heads of delegation was announced. It is worth noting that the list of heads of delegation changed slightly between September and November, due to the fact that some participants were replaced. Interesting fact: For the first time in history, the team working on the competition did not become part of the team of heads of delegations, so that more people could take seats. Those people who applied to become heads of delegations, but failed, were invited to become part of a team of dancers who would help the heads of delegations with their ideas during the filming of the performances.

On August 22, UEBU presented an updated version of the logo of the Ideal Eurovision Song Contest franchise.

On August 29, the first picture from the virtual arena under construction was published, where the idea of the competition stage was already visible.

On September 4, the draw of countries between the heads of delegations took place, and it became known who would receive which country in the competition. On October 4, the countries were divided into halves: it became known that Armenia would open the show and Georgia would close it.

On September 4, filming of the first country's performance (Germany) began. On October 22, the filming of the last country (Armenia) took place. On October 23, 2024, the filming of the interval acts was completed.

For the first time in the history of the franchise, not a single participant who won the polls on our blog was able to win the original national selection of their country and actually go to Madrid.: All the countries that held open selections had different participants in our competition.

On October 12, it became known that a well-known Eurovision blogger would be working on the results table for the finals show. Later it became known that ESC Giorgio became it.

Voting in the final was held from October 23 to October 25, but later, the UEBU team decided to extend the voting for two more days due to the large number of voters. The recap began to be actively viewed by foreign Eurovision fans. 396 votes were received in the finale of the show.
