History
«Ideal Eurovision 2023» was the third show of the franchise. The Semi-Finals were held on 25 March and 1 April 2023, the Grand Final on 8 April 2023.
On January 17, 2023, it was officially announced that the contest would continue and take place again in 2023, following the successful organization of both the adult and junior contests in 2022. Initially, it was declared that the UEBU team would select 37 Heads of Delegation to match the number of countries in the original contest. However, on March 8, 2023, through a poll set on the Telegram channel "Eurovision Live," it was decided to add one more country, Montenegro, to the list of participants. In the original contest, Montenegro was set to be represented by Enisa with the song "Ole." Thus, 38 countries participated in the "Ideal Eurovision 2023."
Applications for participation in the contest were open from January 27 to January 29, lasting 48 hours. On the evening of January 29, 2023, UEBU revealed the list of all Heads of Delegation (except for the 38th Head of Delegation for Montenegro).

On February 24, 2023, the allocation draw for countries into the semifinals took place. Each Head of Delegation (with the exception of Montenegro's Head of Delegation) was assigned a country through the draw. Additionally, the countries were divided into two semifinals.

On March 8, 2023, UEBU began the search for hosts for the Semi-Finals and the Grand Final of the "Ideal Eurovision Song Contest 2023." However, in the end, the contest was hosted by its supervisor, Mairan Osterdahl.
On March 13, 2023, the dates for the two Semi-Finals and the Grand Final were announced: the Semi-Finals were scheduled for March 25 and April 1, 2023, while the Grand Final was set for April 8, 2023. Additionally, the UEBU team started contacting various stars from different Eurovision seasons, sending invitations to participate in the interval acts of the upcoming contest. On March 15, UEBU announced that The Busker (Malta at Eurovision 2023) and RODAN (ESCZ 2023) would appear in the interval acts. On March 20, it was further announced that Ella (MGP 2023) would also perform in the show's interval act.
