Who We Are

The Ideal Eurovision Song Contest 2026 voting platform ("vote.idealeurovision.one") is operated by Eurovision Live blog/mass-media ("Operator") and organized by Ideal Eurovision Broadcasting Association ("IEBA", "Organizer"). This is an independent event and is not affiliated with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

Detailed Policy

1. Data We Process

  • IP address (to limit votes to 5 per IP).

  • Browser/device info (e.g., user-agent string).

  • Approximate geolocation (country-level, for regional vote analysis).

  • Vote selections and timestamp.

  • We do not collect: Emails, payment details, or precise GPS locations.

  • Count votes and announce results.

  • Prevent fraud (e.g., vote manipulation).

  • Comply with legal requests.

3. Data Storage & Transfers

  • Hosting: Servers located in the European Union.

  • No international transfers (all data remains in the EU).

4. Data Retention

  • Vote records: 1 month (key organizational records).

  • Server logs: 14 days (then deleted).

5. Cookies & Tracking

No cookies are used (voting relies on IP-based limits).

6. Children's Privacy

Voting is allowed for those aged 14 and over. Parents/guardians may assist minors in voting.

7. Your Rights

  • Access data we hold about you.

  • Request deletion (where legally permissible; vote records cannot be erased due to contest integrity).

  • Lodge complaints with the Azerbaijan Data Protection Authority (our lead jurisdiction).
